Regina King photographed the people, places, and venues of Queensland’s Gold Coast for more than fifty years. The people she shot with her cameras included locals and visitors – from celebrities and entertainers, to holidaying families on the beach or at restaurants, to aspiring models and professional surfers. Regina aimed her lens at a constantly changing city as it developed from a group of quiet beach towns to a glamorous international destination that opened itself to the world.
People I Have Shot is a vivid collection of images and stories that capture the unique career of a remarkable woman whose life and work not only documented, but also defined, the Gold Coast. The book includes a foreword by Mayor Tom Tate and a heartfelt, personal afterword by Peter Flowers, who shared those fabulous decades with Regina.
