A memoir from John Kennedy.

(Pre-order now - books will be available from late November 2026)

It’s a long way to the top. Most musicians never even reach the middle. Australian singer songwriter John Kennedy has survived the journey and made an art form out of being the music industry’s most successful failure.

As his early success on the independent music scene with his bands JFK And The Cuban Crisis and John Kennedy’s Love Gone Wrong faded away, he should probably have done the same. The love of making music carried him around the world helping him reinterpret the meaning of success.

From Miss Acacia Ridge fundraisers to the Sydney Opera House; from Liverpool to Barcelona via Brisbane and Berlin, Kennedy has lived life by his motto: Have Songs, Will Travel.
